Motivation

  • Remove all persistent player caching and IP storage so the plugin no longer records player IPs or writes/reads a player cache file.
  • Make an OG variant that uses TrueOG live config/branding and omits player placeholders and IP-based features.
  • Clean up command surface and packaging metadata to reflect the new variant name AdvancedServerList-OG.

Description

  • Remove player cache persistence and runtime cache logic from PlayerHandler so it always returns a static default CachedPlayer and logs that player caching is disabled, and eliminate IP/UUID storage paths and JSON handling.
  • Stop saving/loading player cache during startup/shutdown by removing cache save calls and updating startup logs in AdvancedServerList to indicate "live player handling".
  • Remove join-based player capture and the PaperPlayerPlaceholders provider, and stop registering the join listener so no IPs are collected on player join; update LoadEvent and PaperCore wiring accordingly.
  • Rebrand the project and packaging: change module/project name and artifacts to AdvancedServerList-OG, update plugin.yml and paper-plugin.yml names/usages, adjust command help to remove clearCache, and update CmdSender branding and paper shadow jar base name.
  • Simplify core/src/main/resources/config.yml to remove the unknown-player/disable-cache sections and retain the remaining config comments and migration flag.
  • Update documentation in README.md to describe how AdvancedServerList-OG differs (TrueOG live config/branding, no player caching, no IP storage, and no player placeholders) and remove PlaceholderAPI from the paper build script.

Testing

  • Ran git diff --check to verify no whitespace or trivial diff errors, which passed.
  • Ran ./gradlew --version to confirm the environment uses the Gradle wrapper target 8.14.3, which printed Gradle 8.14.3 successfully.
  • Attempted ./gradlew build, which failed in the execution environment due to the host JVM/Kotlin script parsing (Launcher JVM 25.0.1) and not due to source changes; the failure is environmental and not from the source edits.
