webOS Documentation Project
This project has two goals:
- Restore the on-device help system from archives, and get it working again.
- Augment the on-device help with up-to-date information to re-activate a webOS device and make it useful on the modern Internet
The Getting Started section will walk through the steps necessary to activate a webOS device, install some App Stores, and get on the modern web. It's one path for almost everyone: on webOS 2.2.4 and 3.0.5 — TouchPad and TouchPad Go, plus Pre3, Veer and Pre 2 — the Modern TLS Updates give your device native modern encryption, with no proxy or certificate juggling required. Devices older than 2.2.4 can't run those updates and are largely limited to plain HTTP; they're covered under Older Devices.
The Taking Control section covers some optional advanced topics that provide some quality-of-life improvements on webOS, through apps, hacks and scripts built by the community.
